I decided I wanted to try out some comic book style colouring, since colour's never really been a strong-suit for me. I stumbled upon a really cool video tutorial by Patrick Brown (google him, you won't regret it) and thought I'd give this a go.
I sketched out a caricature of myself interacting with Capt Jack Sparrow, then used Patrick's tutorial to do the colours. For those of you that don't know, I also happen to costume in my spare time, wearing my characters to comic cons, and Jack Sparrow is one of my most popular costumes simply down to the performance I try to put into it.
So yeah, pretty happy with the outcome of this 4-5 hour exercise. I need alot more practise with my Wacom, since most the lines here were drawn with the pen tool instead of a freehand brush, but we'll get there eventually.
